To love is to be brave

As the longer you love someone

The longer you’ll cry when they’re gone

And probably I’m destined for hardships

Scavenging pieces of red roses on the street

Catching smells of perfumes as people go

Hoping for a drop of water in the desert

Finding love in a tangled lock

Something I will never untangle

But something that keeps me interested

Maybe I’m never a lover

Maybe I’m only a temporary fighter

Maybe I just want ease

But not too much

Maybe I forget what it used to feel like

Maybe I’m unsatisfied

But with what?

If it’s the most I can give

Maybe love wasn’t to be found somewhere else

It’s within me that lacks it

Because as long as I don’t love what’s in me

It’s hard for me to love what’s in you

And what’s in them

But time’s changed

And relationships break

And I survived many

Before I found you

And it’s not reasonless why we vibe

We don’t just make things up

We attract each other secretly 

And things feel like they’ve been

Like if I’ve known you a thousand years

And like you’ve hugged me ever since

There’s a reason I’m with you now

And not many years ago

Because we wouldn’t have been who we were

When I first laid my eyes on you

And the story would’ve been different

You wouldn’t know how to mend my broken soul

As good as you do now

Because you’ve been through it yourself

And I’m so proud of you that you did

And I’m so in love with you still

Inside of my heart

And I believe your heart can see mine

Without the eyes

Because it beats for you

And as compelling it is to look out

It is more compelling to look into me

Because I see you

No matter where my eyes see

And I will be brave for you because I love you

And we will never cry in the end

As loving you is the best decision I’ve ever made
