Life's Best Part

I think I underestimated the power of you

Your smell and your pretty glances

Your hand in mine and your kisses

All that made me feel brand new

Again, I was reborn, another rebirth

Somehow you managed to show love

Though life was sometimes tough

Somehow not when it’s you I’m with

The person that craves my natural smiles

And whose happiness makes me happy

And that doesn’t like it when I call her pretty

But, God, I wish she could see her own eyes

How they look at me how they laugh

And when she’s sad or when she’s mad

They captivate mine and I’m not petrified 

I think she’s a magnificent kind of craft

I wish I could let her know she’s lovable

That she deserves every love there is in the world

That she is not what she is according to her mold

That she is someone so unforgettable

I hope she knows how much I love her

How much my heart screams for her

How safe I feel when I’m around her

And how life is better when I’m with her

Although for now we're torn apart

Life’s too short to be away from you
