The Light

 

My heart was in the dark woods

Looking and finding a way out

Many trees, tall beautiful ones

Green and graceful ones

But I saw the light

From the east

From where the sunlight begins

And somehow I’m attached

Well of course, I was lost

That’s why I was so into that light

And still into it

And I follow

And I follow

Until the end of the light

Somehow I went out of the woods

I was freed

And I ran and I ran 

I wanted to catch the sun

And I jumped

And I thought I’d reach the sun

But I didn’t see a gorge under me

I jumped and I fell

Right into your heart

I fell in love with you

I might not get the sun

But I got you

That’s enough for life
