A goodbye after another

I don’t know if I prefer them hugging me

Or really just never say the goodbye

Because it hurts.

I hate to have to always hear that word 

I don’t want people going away from me 

We did have some good times, right? 

Then why do you leave?

Am I getting too much for you?

Or did you have enough fun?

I sure hope the latter

But a human-being so kind so unselfish 

Why did we only meet in the end?

Why did we only meet to say goodbye?

Why didn’t you just stay…?

You have my heart with you

Wherever you are

Keep that soul alive

My heart‘s beating in your chest

For now, for good, have a good rest
